Hyacinth Rabbit is made to look well-loved and old. She is made from painted, stained, and brushed wool felt,t and has many little bits of antique textiles and lots of little stitches.
She has applied eyes with french knot pupils, a stitched nose, flax whiskers, and ears are lined with antique reproduction William Morris print calico (a favorite of mine)
Her bunny tail is sheep wool and needle felted on.
She is wearing a linen type dress made from fabric found at a thrift shop. It is belted with early blue calico and has an antique brown button attached.
She is holding a large strawberry made from antique wool with a calico cap, also antique.
Wool and flax are sourced from a local farm here in Pennsylvania.
Hyacinth Rabbit is a little over 11″ tall.
